Flood Survivor Fall Clean-Up

United Way is bringing together volunteers from across the community to assist 5 – 10 homeowners that were impacted by the 2020 Dam Failure. Volunteers will help remove excess natural debris from homeowners’ properties and help with general yard clean up before the winter months.
Tasks will include:
• Lawn mowing
• Weed Whipping
• Raking
• Log Removal
• Debris Pick Up
All materials for this project will be provided.
Please consider wearing the following:
• Close-toed shoes
• Long Sleeves
• Pants (Jeans Preferred)
Hydration and first aid stations from Red Cross will be on-site. Together we will provide snacks, water, bug spray, sunscreen, and minor immediate needs. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their gloves and safety glasses, though there will be a select supply on hand should you require them. Please dress according to the weather as this event will take place primarily outdoors.
When:
Wednesday, September 22nd and Thursday, September 30th
2 shifts per day | 9am – 12pm & 1pm – 4pm
Where:
Location to be provided 48 hours before the start date. We will be working on both Sanford and Midland homes impacted by the flood.
