Adopt-a-Unit for the Holidays
MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland is kicking off a "7 Ways of Caring" campaign which promotes simple acts of kindness. 2020 has had great impact on health care workers, so volunteers are being asked to support the Medical Center's units with gratitude and holiday cheer. There are approximately 45-60 employees per unit including doctors, nurses, patient care technicians, and ancillary staff. Volunteers, groups or organizations are asked to create a basket, bag, or box with items for one unit per sign-up. Items to consider including: notes/cards of gratitude, healthy snacks like fruit: apples, bananas, & oranges, self-care items like hand lotion, and fun holiday items. Homemade food will not be accepted. 20 openings are available for sign-up. Drop-off will be between December 14-18, 2020.
